Whiskey Barrel Mini Bar Cabinet

My husband made this beautiful mini bar from and old Kentucky whiskey barrel. The steel bands were screwed into place through each band and board in order to maintain the barrel's strength once the opening was cut.  

The shelf is made from reclaimed hand-oiled mahogany.

The barrel was finished with a light stain to highlight the grain of the already darkened, aged wood. Two coats of satin finish polyurethane were added for protection.

Wine glass holders were then attached under the lid. Finally, LED tap lights were installed under the top and under the shelf to light up your bottles and glasses. 

This whiskey barrel mini bar will add a cool, rustic look to your den, man cave, or living room, and is a unique conversation piece. Cheers!
