Sofa Table. Console Table. Vintage Window Sofa Table

My husband created this sofa/console table using a reclaimed vintage wooden exterior window.

The window is an original salvaged from a 1950's Florida home. The frames were made from Cypress wood because of its natural bug and water resistant qualities.

He then built the box as a base for the table, which gives approximately four inches of space under the glass to store magazines, remote controls, your favorite knick-knacks, or whatever you like.

We added a glass knob to raise the window for easy access to the storage compartment.

The frame and legs of the table are made from reclaimed/salvaged wood, and finished with a beautifully rustic, distressed-antique white painted finish. The frame and legs were then hand-waxed for the finishing touch.

The chipped paint gives the window a beautiful antique look, and has been sealed with two coats of matte finish polyurethane to protect it and prevent further chipping.

This unique, one-of-a-kind table would make a great conversation piece as either a sofa table, console, or entryway table.
