Lane Cedar Chest. Restored Lane Cedar Chest 1930s.

This is a beautifully restored Lane Cedar Chest from the 1930's. 

My husband stripped the original finish down to the veneer, then re-stained in a beautiful red mahogany. 

The chest was then finished with two coats of satin polyurethane.  

Three vintage-style hinges were added to the lid to replace the missing originals.

  

After 80 years the chest still has its original cedar aroma!

This Lane Chest is in beautiful condition inside an out, and would look great a the foot of your bed as blanket chest, or anywhere you choose to display it.
