Repurposed 1940's Vintage Silvertone Console Radio

My husband refinished, repurposed this 1940's Silvertone Console Radio.
He sanded it down to the bare veneer and refinished in a beautiful red mahogany stain, adding coats of satin polyurethane for protection.

The radio does not work but was left intact for its beautiful vintage charm.

The cabinet can be left open to display the radio, or closed.
The storage area is lighted by two tap lights on either side.

After removing the speaker, a hinged door was made out of the original grill and swings open to access the storage area.
A mahogany wood shelf was added to the bottom, and the original makers stickers were left attached to the inside walls.

The storage area can be used for: plants, wine rack, liquor cabinet, display of porcelain or figurines.
This repurposed vintage radio will add a classy and unique conversation piece to your entryway or living room, or wherever you choose to show it.

The repurposed Console Radio is available at our Etsy shop. View it here.
