Vintage Console Radio-Bar. Radio Mini-Bar. Repurposed Console Radio 1940's

This is a beautifully repurposed vintage Zenith console radio from the 1940's.
With the radio unrepairable, my husband converted it into a mini bar.

After removal of the speaker grill and radio, doors were cut into the top that swing open to access the top section which can house whiskey decanter, glasses and bar tools/accessories.
The lower shelves are made from thick Mahogany and protected with three coats of semi-gloss polyurethane. There is ample room for liquor and wine bottles, as well as glassware.

The radio dial glass is original and provides a porthole view into the top section. Mahogany vine glass holders were handmade to fit the doors.

Wireless LED lights are installed in the top and each of the shelves below. The top has been decoupaged with vintage liquor labels (not reproductions) with have been protected with three coats of polyurethane. The inside has been painted, and the entire piece was hand waxed inside and out.

This radio mini bar will make a cool addition to your living room or man cave, and a great conversation piece.
