Pallet Wood Coffee Table

This is a cool coffee table my husband made from a reclaimed wood pallet. 

After giving it a good cleaning, he sanded it enough to remove any splinters, but left the natural texture of the wood intact. 

A coat of English Walnut stain beautifully enhanced the grain of the wood. 

The wheels make the table easy to move with a finger.

After staining, the table was finished with three coats of satin polyurethane to protect the surface from drink rings, spills, etc. 

Not only does this kind of table save usable resources from the landfill, it also adds simple, rustic coolness to any living room or den.
